The mission of Soroptimist International of Hamilton, a volunteer service organization of women, is to empower, educate and encourage women and girls to improve their self confidence, health, and socio-economic standing, both locally and globally. 

Our goals are to provide the following:

Women and girls living free from discrimination

Empowerment

Women and girls free to act in their own best interest

Education

Women and girls deserve to lead full and productive lives through access to education

Diversity and Fellowship

Women from varied backgrounds and perspectives work together to improve the lives of women and girls

Education is the pathway to economically empowering women and girls.

When Women Go to School

they are more likely to get paying jobs and their financial contributions to their families—and their nations—increase

When Girls Have Educated Moms

they are more likely to be enrolled in school and to reach higher levels of education

Soroptimist International of Hamilton provides several annual awards and scholarships to local women and girls. Over $42,000 awarded in the 2022-2023 cycle.  These include the following:
 

  • Live Your Dream Award

  • Spark the Future Awards
     

  • Fellowship Awards
     

  • Ruby Award
     

  • Violet Richardson Award

Live Your Dream applications accepted from August 1 -November 15th.  Applications for all other awards accepted from August 1 - January 31st.

 Soroptimist International of Hamilton, founded in 1974, strives to be aware of the constant and changing needs of the women, girls and families in Ravalli County.

Currently, our club provides support to the following programs: SAFE, Stop Human Trafficking,  Genesis House, Christmas Families, Literacy Bitterroot, Women's Hygiene Products, Child Care Resources, Linda Massa Youth Home, International Scholarships, and our Senior Women Project.

Providing women and girls with access to education is the most effective way to help them reach their full potential and live their dreams. When women and girls are educated, they have opportunity, choice and power to make healthy decisions for themselves and their families.
