Scholarships & Awards
We are so excited that you are taking the steps to apply for our Scholarships and Awards! On this page, you will find information and application links for the Live Your Dream Award, Fellowship Award, Scholarships, Ruby Award and the Violet Richardson Award. To be considered for these, please read the following section carefully, and make sure to follow both steps!
1) Please download and read the Award Information before proceeding. (Click on "1) Award Information" to access this document!) It will give you details about each scholarship or award, suggestions on your letters of reference, and information on general requirements for the applications.
2) Additionally, each application must include 2 (two) Letters of Reference to be considered. You can find the Fillable Scholarship and Fellowship Reference Form by clicking "2) Reference Form" below.
All applications are fillable PDF files. You can either collect them and email to sihamiltonawards@gmail.com, or print them out and mail them to SI Hamilton, PO Box 1012, Hamilton, MT 59840.
Please note the application deadlines; that is the day we must have received the scholarship, so be sure to plan the collection of your references and transmission time to us at Soroptimist of Hamilton.

FELLOWSHIP AWARD
Open August 15, 2024
The Live Your Dream Award offers three levels of cash awards. Eligible applicants can submit their application between August 1 - November 15.
Ultimately, a Live Your Dream Award finalist has the potential to receive up to $16,000 to help offset tuition costs, purchase books, get transportation, or find reliable childcare so she can worry less about how to pay her bills and focus on reaching her dreams.
Eligibility Requirements Include:

Woman who provides primary financial support for herself and dependents

Enrolled or accepted to a vocational skills training program or undergraduate degree program

Have financial need

Woman established in her career with a BS or MS, with a plan to return for an advanced degree or certification.
Eligibility Requirements Include:

Actions and goals demonstrate a commitment to improving the lives of women and/or girls
RUBY
AWARD
Open August 1, 2024
The Ruby Award honors women who, through their professional or personal efforts, are making extraordinary differences in the lives of women and girls. Honorees are women who have worked to improve the lives of other women or girls. Their work has had a significant impact, and also inspires and encourages other women.
Eligibility Requirements Include:

Women may nominate themselves or another woman they feel is deserving of this honor.

AWARD
Open August 1, 2024
A recognition program for young women ages 13-18 whose volunteer activities make the community and world a better place.
Two awards of $250 each.
Recipients pick a charity of their choice and SIH donates $100 to that charity.
